The 2020 curators for LINE are Big Medium's Executive Director Shea Little, and Program Coordinator Coka Trevino.

UD encourages applicants to submit projects that are engaging for both undergraduate and graduate students, in studio art or art history.

Awards for CADD FUND 2020 will be in the $2500-$7500 range.

Raul Gonzalez, Amada Miller, Megan Harrison, Nicholas Frank, Jimmy James Canales, Mari Hernandez, Buster Graybill, Jasmyne Graybill, and Anthony Francis have been selected for the CAM Perennial 2020 exhibition hosted by the McNay.

The exhibition featured works by artists Joshua Bryant, Jer'Lisa Devezin, Steven Hector Gonzalez, Christian Roman, and Gem You.

Now in its 18th edition, the Houston-based festival will be held March 8 – April 19, 2020.

The recipients are New York-based photographer (and Houston native) Elizabeth Bick, and Briana Vargas of Houston.  

Gonzales was previously University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB)'s Art, Design & Architecture Museum's Acting Director.

Knowles will be honored in New York City at a special event.

'Bitchen Stove' was created during Pell's 2006 residency at Artpace San Antonio, and features nods to car culture.

Among the awardees is Austin-based Glasstire contributor Sean J. Patrick Carney.

The five finalists for Artadia's 2019 Houston Awards are ​Adriana Corral,​ ​Allison Hunter​, ​Lovie Olivia​, ​Vincent Valdez​, and ​Sarah Welch.

The gallery will be open at its present location through December, although the new Canopy space will be open as well for the first event there on December 13, from 7 - 10pm.

The lighting of the Spire will occur on December 16 at 7:30pm.

The works will have a particular emphasis on art either made by Texans or made in Texas.

There will also be a scanning and oral history station on site for visitors who want to bring in photographs and ephemera, or tell their stories about the Houston art community.

McGraw will assume his role in mid-January.

The new, dedicated department is part of the DMA’s strategic plan to deepen the representation of the culture and history of the DMA’s local and national communities within the Museum’s collection.

The 2020 edition is the Biennial's seventh, and takes place next fall. Deadline to apply has been extended to February 29.
