The announcement today of the landmark acquisition establishes the Amon Carter as the only institution in the country to have this type of Asawa's work in its collection.

The series continues this Friday with artist Michael Queenland, then Malik Gaines in February, and Nicole Miller in March.

The artists will be selected by jury based on the strength of their application, which should include a CV/resumé, artist statement, letter of interest, letter of recommendation, and portfolio.
