Recently, I visited with Dallas-based mixed-media artist Tina Medina about her upcoming exhibition at the Latino Cultural Center (which, full disclosure, I am curating). We met at Medina’s studio, which is located in The Cedars Union, Dallas. Before we sat down to get to work on our project, I had the chance to peruse the current cohort’s studios.

Though I’ve known past artists who have worked out of the Cedars Union, this was my first visit to the space. While there were just a few artists there that afternoon, it was magical to see works in progress and to sense the creative energy flowing throughout the space. Here are a few photos of a handful of artists from The Cedars’ most recent cohort.
