Ceramics are Cool, So Here’s Your Speaker This Weekend

2015-360-deWaal-portraitAs part of its 360: Artists, Critics, Curators lecture series, the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas is bringing ceramic artist extraordinaire Edmund de Waal to the museum this Saturday afternoon for a talk. The London-based artist is “is one of the world’s leading ceramic artists, and his porcelain is held in many major museum collections. The bestselling author and artist will speak in conjunction with his new book, The White Road, an intimate narrative history of porcelain structured around five journeys through landscapes where porcelain was dreamed about, fired, refined, collected, and coveted.”

The lecture is on Saturday, November 21 at 2 p.m. It’s open to the public and free with museum admission and to Nasher members. There is “a complimentary book signing and wine reception with RSVP: http://bit.ly/deWaal360.”
