This summer marked the opening of Winston Contemporary Art, a new art gallery located near Houston's Upper Kirby District.

Founded by artist Michael Phelan, who lives and works between Marfa and New York, and Kenneth Bauso, a former investment banker, the fair's concept seems to fit in with the small, intimate art experiences offered throughout the town.

This annual show, which is installed throughout Austin's City Hall, highlights local artists in a year-long exhibition.

In addition to its interdisciplinary focus, the Athenaeum Review will seek to provide serious and in-depth arts coverage in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
