Franco Mondini-Ruiz’s Business Plan in Art Mag SA

Haydee Munoz interviewed Franco Mondini-Ruiz about his art-as-a-business plan on the eve of his recent Franctoberfest show at Bismarck Studios in San Antonio for Art Magazine San Antonio. Mondini mixes pragmatism with populism with statements like “The people you get drunk with at the bar are your friends, but they are also your competitors,” and “The main reason why I sold work for so little was to make it accessible to a broad audience. I did not want to make beautiful paintings just for the rich elite.”
