For Contemporary Arts Month, Haydeé Muñoz De la Rocha‘s San Antonio-based online art magazine, Art Magazine, will be launching its first print issue. According to the press release, “Our publication is a space dedicated to criticism, analysis, information, and synthesis. Art Magazine is devoted to providing professional perspectives and informed commentary about the forces shaping the international art world and how they relate to the local sphere.”
The first print issue is planned to be be a sort of handbook to the CAM, including a summary of not-to-be-missed events, features on Artpace, Luminaria, and the Lullwood Group, an interview with Bill Arning of Houston’s CAMH, and an odd bit of studio technique titled “Did you know? Oil vs Acrylics.”
Copies of the inaugural issue will be $6, or free with each $18 yearly (four issue), subscription.
