Houston architecture is going to the dogs: third Barkitecture event coming in October

Barkitecture Houston 2011 will be held on Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15 at Houston Pavilions. You got it: designers, architects, artists who feel that sandcastle building has gotten entirely too professional, and fiberglass cows are passé, have turned to doghouses. Busy beavers who want to sign up to design/build a better doghouse must register by Sept 1; their creations will be auctioned off on Saturday, October 15. All proceeds from this year’s silent auction will directly benefit Pup Squad, a local animal rescue group. Not a builder? Then come for the “yappy hour” on Friday night!
