Houston artist Christopher Cascio’s recent work is inspired by quilting and patterns. His past work has used bandanas, concert wristbands, stickers, and beer labels, which have been woven into intricately patterned surfaces. Read an interview with Cascio about his work here.
A quilt by Gee’s Bend artist Caster Pettway that was for sale on Etsy.
Etsy, the online retailer, recently announced that a number of quiltmakers from Gee’s Bend have opened online storefronts that sell everything from facemasks, to wallhangings, to full-size quilts.
