Cluley Projects was launched in 2021 as a satellite location in West Dallas. The space has served as an incubator for regional artists such as Sheryl Anaya, Xxavier Edward Carter, Beronica Gonzales, Andrea Tosten, and Zak Zieball. Since opening, Cluley Projects has presented 20 exhibitions and held three state-wide open calls for emerging artists.

Though the secondary site’s physical location is closing, Erin Cluley Gallery will continue to produce community-focused programming under the Cluley Projects name. The Cluley Projects 4th annual open call will continue to accept proposals through November 3, 2024, and the selected exhibition will be held at the gallery’s main location in Spring 2025.

In a press release, Erin Cluley remarked, “We opened Cluley Projects with the idea of creating new and meaningful opportunities for Texas-based artists — and without a doubt, that mission will continue. I am proud of the exhibitions we have presented and honored to have met and worked with so many regional creatives through our programming over the past three and a half years.”

Ms. Cluley went on to explain that since the gallery’s inception a decade ago, she has been interested in presenting public art projects. She indicated that through the Cluley Projects umbrella, the gallery will focus on working with artists to produce murals, outdoor sculptures, and other public interventions.
