Rising Eyes of Texas 2022 at the Rockport Center for the Arts. Dates: March 4 – April 3, 2022.

“Each year, undergraduate and graduate students in the visual arts take center stage in the Rising Eyes of Texas, a juried exhibition now celebrating its fifteenth year at Rockport Center for the Arts Scheduled for March 4–April 3, the exhibition is free and open to the public. This year’s event features the work of 31 artists from 17 universities and colleges across Texas. Winning entries will be selected this year by esteemed juror Joseph Cohen, artist, co-founder and owner of Davis Cohen Art, a Houston-based art consulting and appraisal firm. The top three “best in show” artists receive a share of the $1,000 purse supplied by the Christopher and Jessica Giesey Rising Eyes of Texas Scholarship Fund.”
