CentralTrak presents That Mortal Coil: Rebuking the Ideal in Figurative Art, a group exhibition curated by Heyd Fontenot.

The cultural preoccupation with beauty has led many contemporary artists to confront idealization of the human figure. This group exhibition examines the frailty of flesh. Rather than rejecting beauty, these artists search for beauty in the varied appearances of the human condition.

Artists: Seth Alverson (Houston), R.E. Cox (Dallas), Brian K. Jones (Dallas), Denise Prince (Austin), Ari Richter (New York), Nina Schwanse (New Orleans/Los Angeles) and Taro-kun (Japan).

Viewer Discretion is Advised – this exhibition features “adult content”!!!
