Cuban painter Luis Abreux’s insular surrealism may have the “vivid colors reminiscent of his native Cuba”, and the “dynamism of the topics,” but his Master’s degree from the San Alejandro Academy in Havana, with specialization in painting and subliminal techniques, suggests there might be more to it than that.
