In 2010, Lynda Benglis was artist in residence at the Tacoma Glass Museum where she worked with the shop’s glass craftsmen to produce works loosely based on African masks in glass, currently on view at the Met in NY in Reconfiguring an African Icon: Odes to the Mask by Modern and Contemporary Artists from Three Continents. These are like those, I suppose.
