December 2 - January 28, 2011
Lawrence Markey features an exhibition of handmade books by James Castle. Castle was born profoundly deaf and is known for his drawings, collaged objects and books throughout his life. A traveling retrospective of Castle’s work was organized by the Philadelphia Museum of Art and exhibited there in 2008-2009. A fully illustrated catalogue will be published, with an essay by Bob Nickas, to accompany the exhibition at Lawrence Markey.
