January 29 - March 1, 2009
Inspired by what he saw in post-Katria New Orleans, Villinski salvaged a FEMA-style trailer and turned it into an Emergency Response Studio, or ERS, acting as a "self-sufficient, solar-powered live/work space" for artists to use while responding on location to post-disaster environments. Emergency Response Studio will be installed near the entrance of Rice campus at the southeast corner of Lovett Hall next to Rice Gallery.
