Austin multimedia artist/illustrator Sarah Green Reed has been collaborating with UK author Matt Brown on The Creepy Valley, a story and activity site about a little monster named Keith and his world. In honor of Halloween, the site had added a new story, “The Terrifying Mew of the Cuddly Kitten,” read by Dermot O’Leary host of the UK’s popular “X Factor” TV show as a free download.
Says Reed of the project: “It’s for kids and parents, both, really. Or for anyone who just loves a British accent (guilty!) and a bit of quirky humor. The Creepy Valley is already gaining momentum in England, but I want to prove that we Yanks also have great taste and can support a project like this. Matt and I are hoping to get The Creepy Valley into print and would be pleased as punch to get as many downloads as possible to support our case to a publisher. It’s truly been a labor of love thus far.”
