The Yao Ming Foundation is announcing a partnership with the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH) for the inaugural Yao Ming Foundation Gala to take place in January 2010. which will benefit both the Yao Ming Foundation and the MFAH’s new permanent gallery dedicated to the Arts of China. NBA star Yao Ming himself will be on hand at the MFAH this Tuesday, November 17, at 3pm for the announcement. The Foundation was established 2008 in response to the major earthquake in Sichuan Province, China and has committed to rebuild five earthquake resistant schools in the region. The new Ting Tsung and Wei Fong Chao Arts of China Gallery at the MFAH is cheduled to open in June 2010.
