“Life is Living” Houston Kick-Off

Life is Living, Marc Bamuthi Joseph’s national campaign to connect urban street arts with environmentalism and sustainable living, kicks off this Saturday, Nov. 7 at Discovery green park in Houston. From 11am-3pm,  Joseph, a spoken word artist and choreographer who is beginning a two-year Houston residency, will perform with MC Lyte. The kick-off will feature participatory activities by Houston organizations including Aerosol Warfare, CKCStart Street and Urban Arts & Graffiti Research Lab, Last Organic Outpost, Workshop Houston, Project Row Houses, the UH College of Architecture, and youth slam poetry group Meta-Four Houston.
