Lecture me

by Rainey Knudson August 18, 2008

Couple of interesting talks coming up at MFAH: Rick Brettell — former director of the DMA, current overseer of Centraltrak, the new residency program at UTD, and general bigwig in the Dallas art scene — is coming to Houston to talk about the Forest of Fontainebleau show on September 5. Then on September 25 will be British artist Sam Taylor-Wood, whose A Little Death (the video of the decomposing rabbit), has stolen the show at the latest Chaney exhibit END GAME. (Speaking of which…last year was RED HOT, this year is END GAME… what will next year’s title be? BAD ASS? ART BARF? TEXT TWIST? Whatever it is, let’s hope someone’s still got the caps lock key fully engaged!)
