I've been on a bit of a Domy kick in the news recently, but have to mention a bunch of artist-made books I picked up there recently. Seeing these great xeroxed 'zines by young Houston artists Will Boone and the Sketch Klubb (which has included Seth Alverson, Jason Colburn, Issac Fergus and Pat Phipps, amongst others) — to say nothing of the wonderful little book Sawing Logs by Lisa Marie Godfrey — well, it done my curmudgeonly heart good to see this stuff in a town that's felt quiet on the grassroots front recently. These things retail for somewhere betwee a buck fifty and $15, so really, you don't have any excuse.
