Lawndale Art Center has announced Erin Elder, Artistic Director at Santa Fe’s Center for Contemporary Arts, as its 2014 juror of The Big Show, its annual open call exhibition. For the last twelve years, Elder has worked as an independent curator, writer and teacher, with a focus on experimental collaboration, a sense of place and expanded notions of culture. Since 2009, she has cooperatively run PLAND, an ambitious off-the-grid residency program near Tres Piedras, NM which closed earlier this year.
