Houston multimedia artist Wendy Wagner, who, for the past year, has been in a very public battle with brain cancer, (her show, Wendy Wagner: Look to the Left, on view through March 14 at Women and Their Work in Austin deals explicitly with the artist’s medical challenges) has had some bad news from her doctors, and will, according to an email from her husband Kenneth, “take another direction – a new direction focusing on quality living rather than battling cancer.”
To that end, Kenneth and Wendy have invited friends “to drop by our house every Wednesday and Friday from 6:30-8pm for what we are calling “Open Table” where you can visit with Wendy and I’ll serve food and drink as we celebrate Wendy as we enjoy every minute of every day. No RSVP needed, just drop by 1503 A California St., Houston TX 77006
We can’t get enough of Wendy’s inspiring, colorful animations here at the gallery and wanted to share the love.
You can preview the works on Wendy’s youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/WagnerWendy) and watch them projected full-size in all their Qwerky glory in the fabulous space she’s created at Women and Their Work Gallery in Austin through March 14th!
