Summer Art Explorers

Thursdays in June & July, beginning June 12
11 a.m.–2 p.m. each day

MFAH Summer Art Explorers gives families the chance to investigate new works of art through interactive activities, sketching in the galleries, and studio experience. Visit the Gallery Cart to investigate art pieces from around the world, with the help of looking activities, games, and conversation with a friendly MFAH educator. To enhance your visit, sketch some of the art you see with the materials provided. Then, in the studio, create your own work of art inspired by the work of art being investigated that day.

The MFAH is for Teens!

Teen programs at the Museum are for motivated teens where investigation + experimentation + exploration create innovation.

Sign up for What Does It Means to Make?, an art making workshop that explores new materials and ways of making art. Looking Labs is a gallery discussion where teens discover how to become savvy museum goers! Teen Arts Group Insights brings teens together to think critically, express their ideas, and experience the Museum from behind the scenes.
