"Glasstire Art Writing Prize"

Frasier is a doctoral student at UTSA in the Anthropology Department, where she studies cultural sustainability in the face of gentrification. 

The $2,500 prize includes the winning essay being published on Glasstire, and a cocktail party in Debic's honor later this week.

Glasstire is pleased to announce the 2021 Greater Houston Art Writing Prize, a competitive award designed to find and highlight emerging arts writers in Texas.

Fauerso is the second Glasstire writer to win the prize. Our Editor-in-Chief Christina Rees received the prize in 2017.

Judges for this round of the Prize include Dr. Rich Aste, Director of the McNay Art Museum; Anjali Gupta, Director of Sala Diaz; Brandon Zech, Publisher of Glasstire; Christina Rees, Editor-in-Chief of Glasstire; and Christopher Blay, News Editor of Glasstire.

This is the second year of the Prize, which will for this cycle again focus on the North Texas region.
