“Four years ago, Randall Garrett established a studio in Mexico City. The work in the exhibition, with its textures and layering of posters, graffiti, and debris foregrounds a new identity with which he is being forged, one of being both a ‘Chilango,’ or person who lives in the city, and “Gringo,” a foreigner from the United States.”
