October 26 - December 14, 2017
A show of new works by New York and Montevideo-based artist Marco Maggi. “In Putin’s Pencils, Maggi activates a set of vintage Russian pencils, video, and cut papers into a medley of philosophical metaphors. Playing with the boundaries of what he calls the “infraordinary,” Maggi creatively shifts the familiar into the realm of the monumental, while questioning knowledge, information, and visuality in a globalized world.”
