July 20 - August 31, 2013
Houston-based artist Jason Villegas’ newest work utilizes jersey knit from repurposed t-shirts. Some pieces are abstract works that are derived from a motif used in his work called a “polo pile”, which is a pile of shirts that grows and morphs into a spiritual entity, ziggurat, and microbial deconstruction.
