An MFA candidate in the Fibers program explores Black culture as a subset of American culture through three installation series: Mammy & Me, Clark Dolls, and Young Gullys.  Ude is interested in creating a dialogue about self-identity and self-esteem of Black American women, and the effects of stereotypical or sensationalized depictions of Black Americans.
