Translucent pulp drawings and circles of handmade paper are installed to suggest our society’s many viruses (from the literal and microscopic, to the metaphorical, mass hysteria variety). Samour says she’s interested in taxonomy, and it shows. She’s a Massachusetts artist who San Antonians will remember from last year’s Pulp Painting Symposium at the Southwest School of Art and Craft.
