Dallas artist Sherry Owens is showcased in a major exhibition at The San Angelo Museum of Fine Art. The exhibition Sherry Owens: A Survey – Rooted in the Earth features her organic, cast bronze sculptural work made from gathered crepe myrtle tree branches and twigs. Owens is the West Texas Triangle’s Featured Artist this summer and her work can also be found on display at The Old Jail Art Museum, the Grace Museum, The Ellen Noel Art Museum, and the Museum of the Southwest. A second exhibition, Work After Work, is a group show of the six faculty members of the Art Department at Angelo State University. Included are works by Esteban Apodaca, Katherine Bunker, Ralph Randall Hall, Peggy Niño, Ben Sum, and John Vinklarek.
