Anjali Gupta will step up as acting director of Art Lies! as former Executive director Tim Staley leaves for a position at the Austin Library Foundation. Mr. Staley boosted the magazine from local freebie to glossy $7 art rag, and shifted the organization from a board-driven to a staff-driven operation in 2007-2008. He expanded the magazine’s budget fourfold and hired Gupta as Art Lies’ first full-time Editor.
