Porn Archeology

by Bill Davenport February 2, 2008

Houston’s Dan Havel makes a triumphant return to his native Minnesota with his new show opening at at Minneapolis’ Icebox gallery. The work, titled "Open 24 Hours", was made using  water-damaged clips from 70’s porn movies. Before he moved to Houston in 1991, Havel was part of a group of artists who reclaimed warehouse space in downtown Minneapolis in the early eighties.
