It can be hard these days to get much fired up about colorfieldists like Barnett Newman, but the Menil's going to give it a crack with a nice lineup of spekers for a roundtable this Thursday, Nov. 29, 7pm. The topic is Newman's gigantic Anna's Light, which is temporarily on view there, and the speakers are Menil director Josef Helfenstein and conservator Brad Epley; MFAH curator Alison de Lima Greene and UT Modernism scholar Richard Shiff, in addition to artists Mark Schlesinger and Marco Villegas.
