Bayou Bend, the American decorative arts branch of the MFAH (and former residence of the famous Ima Hogg), is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year ! They're celebrating with a new catalog, America's Treasures at Bayou Bend, due out in September, and an exhibit about the construction of the house in the 1920s, on view April 17 – August 12 at the Law (Mies) building. (AND they had a chair featured in the April '07 issue of Domino, my favorite guilty pleasure shelter mag!!!)
