Congrats to TX winners of this year’s AICA awards: Moody Gallery, winner of Best Show in a Commercial Gallery Nationally for David Ireland, Jess & Al Souza; and CAM, co-curator of Andrea Zittell, Critical Space, winner of Best Architecture or Design Show!!!! (The Art of Richard Tuttle, organized by SFMoMA and on view last year at the DMA, did NOT deserve second place in the Best Monographic Museum Show category, IMHO. Tuttle’s works on paper and old wire drawings were great, but his costructionsfailed the test of time. Interesting that they came out of the tradition of Rauschenberg’s Combines, the winning show in this category.)
