The American Academy in Rome recently announced that San Antonio native Franco Mondini-Ruiz has been selected as a Rome Prize Fellow. The artist will be living and working on the Janiculum overlooking Rome over the next year. Mondini-Ruiz’s work, which has been seen in numerous venues across the country over the last few years, will also be seen in the show GIANT (It Was Only A Movie) opening at the Marfa Ballroom on July 2nd.
