September 9 - October 21, 2023
“William Campbell Gallery (WCG) is pleased to debut fine art photographer Maxine Helfman this fall. Her solo debut exhibition will open on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at WCG’s Foch Street location.
For this exhibition, Helfman captures vibrant floral and avian still lifes and pairs them with large, arboreal landscape panels to create a unique viewer experience. The collection is a testament to her unparalleled ability to reveal the hidden layers of her subjects through evocative and thought-provoking imagery. Drawing inspiration from both classical portraiture and modern visual storytelling, Helfman has skillfully crafted a series of photographs that transcend mere visual representation. The images are rich, robust and to be experienced in person.
Helfman’s previous photographic series include: Reframing History, Immortal Beauty, and Collections of Short Stories. Her provocative and thoughtful images have been featured in prestigious galleries across the globe. Maxine Helfman’s work can be found in the following permanent collections: RISD Museum, RI; Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, Germany; Tweed Museum of Art, MN and Santa Barbara Museum of Fine Art, CA.
The exhibition’s opening reception will take place on September 9, 2023, from 12 PM – 9 PM at 217 Foch St, Fort Worth, TX 76107. The show will run through October 21, 2023.
