From Hyde Park Bar and Grill:
“As friends and colleagues, Phillip Wade and Eve Larson frequently share studios and an easy exchange of ideas, yet each has his and her own signature style with a unique story to tell.
Larson draws upon her dance background as a source of understanding movement and gesture. The results are not to be missed lyrical renderings of dancers in their moments of grace.
Wade paints with rich color and nuanced detail to honor the ordinary and reveal the extraordinary in places he’s been, people he meets and classic tales he loves.
Wade and Larson are traditionally trained, full time professional artists, living and working in Austin. Their combined careers as faculty of Contemporary Austin’s Art School at Laguna Gloria total 60+ years. Both artists have exhibited in many galleries in Austin, Houston and San Antonio and their work can be found in innumerable private collections around the country.
Hyde Park Bar & Grill Galleries hosts exhibitions of painted portraits, still lives and landscapes by Eve Larson and Phillip Wade through December 14 and January 7, respectively.”
