From Contracommon:
“Alex Coronel is an American contemporary artist who works primarily in painting and installation, but is also active in other media. In recent years he’s exhibited heavily across Texas and New Mexico. Coronel has been working as a craftsman/woodworker for Trophyology in Austin. This type work has led to a resurgence of sculpture in his practice, adding to his multidisciplinary portfolio. Playfulness is crucial when it comes to his work. It has aided his evolution of strictly being an abstract painter into becoming a multimedia artist. You can catch his painting ‘\ ////‘ hanging in Austin City Hall until 2024.”
