September 1 - 22, 2022
From Fort Worth Contemporary Arts:
“Kristen Cochran presents new and reconfigured works related to her micro-residency, Retrospectator that took place in Moudy Gallery, January 2022. Retrospectator played with the language of retrospective exhibitions, placing emphasis upon the artist (herself) to review, spectate and take stock of their own work. BRB, a contemporary acronym meaning “be right back”, is the second installment of this two-part project, and it showcases Cochran’s further explorations of labor and leisure, production and play. Her installation comprises video, sculpture and print focused on browsing, reclining and daydreaming as productive and valuable creative acts.
The exhibition will open with a reception for the artist on Thursday September 1, 5-7pm. Cochran will give a talk in the gallery on Saturday, September 10th at 3.30pm as part of the Fort Worth Art Dealers Association Fall Gallery Walk.
