November 22 - December 28, 2014
Andrea Joyce Heimer is a self-taught painter known for her exploration of the suburban experience, drawing inspiration from her childhood home in 1980s Montana. Part allegory and part autobiography, her crudely rendered but tremendously detailed paintings depict scenes of heartbreak, madness, and the emotional claustrophobia that comes with living in a tightly knit neighborhood.
