Dunn and Brown Contemporary opens with two solo exhibitions by Sam Reveles and Robyn O’Neil. Texas based artist, Sam Reveles‘ exhibition Juarez Paintings features new paintings and works on paper that are a colorfully explosive abstractions. Created over the last two years, these ten new works are a direct result of Reveles’ move from New York to El Paso and his reaction to the violence and unrest in Ciudad Juarez. Robyn O’Neil‘s (shown) painfully meticulous graphite drawings are featured in her exhibition Come, all that is quiet. No more men struggling against Nature in identical track suits and Nikes- these drawings depict a world after the Apocalypse and the world has won. This new body of work was recently exhibited in New Weather, a three-person show at the University of South Florida Contemporary Art Museum.
