Houston Artadia Awards Currently Accepting Applications

by Jessica Fuentes October 7, 2024

Artadia, a national nonprofit grantmaking organization, has opened applications for its 2024 Houston Artadia Awards.

Artadia has award programs in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Through these programs, it grants artists $15,000 awards in unrestricted funds. For the Houston Artadia Awards, individual artists and collaboratives working in all visual art disciplines are encouraged to apply. To be eligible, artists must have lived and worked in Harris County for a minimum of two years. Students currently enrolled in an art-related degree program or planning to attend an art-related degree program in the coming year are ineligible to apply.

Applications will be reviewed through a two-tiered jury selection process that includes local experts and national curators. A panel reviews applications and selects six finalists, and a second panel, which includes one local curator and one curator from outside of the area, conducts virtual studio visits and selects three awardees.
