The Fodice Foundation, founded by Houston artists Patrick Medrano and Katy Anderson, is sponsoring up to 24 two-week to two-month residiencies for artists in 2008. They promise visiting artists the opportunity to "become integral parts of a very depressed community where the arts are currently neglected," revitalizing the historic freedmens’ town of Fodice, Texas through lectures, workshops and visits to area schools.
