Texas Vignette, a Dallas-based nonprofit art organization that supports women artists, has announced the 37 artists selected to be featured in the Vignette Art Fair 2024.

2023 Vignette Art Fair

Texas Vignette was established in 2017 by Jessica Ingle to address the gender disparity gap in the art world by promoting and supporting women artists in the state. The fair is unique in that 100% of the proceeds from artwork sales go directly to the artists.

Dr. Vivian Li, the Lupe Murchison Curator of Contemporary Art at the Dallas Museum of Art, has curated this year’s fair. From the 200 entries, she selected 86 artworks by nearly 40 artists from cities across the state, including Amarillo, Austin, Dallas, Denton, Houston, Nacogdoches, and San Antonio. See a full list of selected artists below.

In a press release, Ms. Li stated, “Selecting the artists for the Vignette Art Fair 2024 was both a sincere pleasure and an honor. I was thoroughly impressed by the dynamic range and talent of the artists who submitted to the open call. I was particularly drawn to those with a maverick sensibility — artists who possess a bold, unapologetic vision combined with a poetic sensitivity to their medium and message. Some artists will be featured in solo presentations to provide a deeper exploration of their varied practices.”

The Vignette Art Fair will take place from October 17 to 19, 2024, at Dallas Market Hall (2200 N Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, TX 75207). Tickets are required for the VIP Benefit Preview happening on Thursday, October 17, however, the Fair is free and open to the public on Friday, from Noon to 7 p.m., and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Learn more about Texas Vignette via the organization’s website
