Arthouse’s summer teen programs

by Bill Davenport May 16, 2010

Young Artists @ Arthouse is a FREE Saturday afternoon art program focused on helping students develop their art portfolios and learn more about opportunities in the arts. Priority is given to students from underserved areas in and around Austin. Thanks to a recent $25K NEA grant, participating young artists get free art supplies, mentoring from a local artist and have their artwork shown in a public exhibition, meanwhile exploring college art programs, making art, thinking critically, and working with other like-minded teenagers. It all begins on Saturday June 12, and applications for the limited spots are due by May 21!
