The finalists for this year’s Artadia Houston awards have been announced! The Art Guys, Amita Bhatt, Amy Blakemore, Rachel Cook, Joseph Havel, Wesley Heiss, Joseph Ives, Laura Lark, Eileen Maxson, Karyn Olivier, Aaron Parazette, Robert Pruitt, Matthew Sontheimer, Jason Villegas and Allison Wiese all made the cut. Cook, Heiss, Oliver, Parazette and Sontheimer were also finalists last year. The only Houston-based juror this year is Alison de Lima Greene, who sits on both the initial and the final jury panels. In the wake of last year’s controversial awards, it will be interesting indeed to see how this pans out.
