From Neill-Cochran House Museum:
“Texas Lost and Found is a solo exhibition of three-dimensional, mixed media artwork by Austin artist Lawrence Jolly. All of the works incorporate found objects, primarily antique hardware and building materials, giving them new life. Jolly explains that these “things, like people, need a second chance.”
Here at the Neill-Cochran House Museum, we recognize the important role material culture plays in our understanding of place, and of memory. Texas Lost and Found playfully connects past and present, finding new meaning in objects both familiar and obscure.
An Opening Reception for Texas Lost and Found will be held at the Neill-Cochran House Museum on Saturday, January 27th. The reception will be free and open to the public.”
