April 15 - May 13, 2023
From the Dallas Center for Photography:
“Memory is a Verb: Exploring Time and Transience presents the work of 11 female photographers investigating time, transience, and loss. Collectively they celebrate our shared humanity, profoundly influencing how we see ourselves and others. After these past few years of uncertainty and grief, this exhibition maps a way forward toward communal understanding and healing.” – Emily Edwards, Curator
Through the artistic expression found in Memory is a Verb, this group of creators from different geographies, experiences, and backgrounds, give voice not only to their reality, but to the multitude of perspectives and possibilities contained within. It is a universal desire to be connected and remembered – to honor our past into our future. The search for meaning during a time of profound disruption is a humbling human journey eloquently captured in this timely installation.
Join us in the DCP gallery on Saturday, April 15 from 6pm-8pm as we celebrate the artist collective, Memory is a Verb, and the opening of their major Dallas photographic installation. This reception is open to all and free to attend!
The exhibition will run in the DCP Community Gallery until Saturday, May 13. Gallery days and hours are Tuesdays – Friday from 11am-5pm, and by appointment.”
